Spotlight: Solana Breakpoint Conference

The price of Solana has been on an absolute tear the last 30 days, boasting a market-leading 77% price appreciation.

This week also wraps up the end of Solana’s signature annual conference, Breakpoint, hosted in Amsterdam.

Let’s dive in to this year’s most exciting announcements!

Amazon Web Services unveiled their Node Runner service will now support the Solana network. This unlocks an easy, frictionless way for enterprises and businesses around the globe to get started validating the Solana network.

Solana is only the second blockchain supported by @awscloud’s Node Runner App, following Ethereum.

Solana also announced the establishment of ‘GameShift’, a platform designed specifically for game developers and studios to effortlessly mint and transfer game assets to users at scale, with ultra-low on-chain fees and Web2 speeds.

The gaming industry is poised to see massive transformation as developers begin to embrace the power of in-game transferrable assets, and the extra layer of security blockchain technology provides.

In spectacular fashion, the team behind one of Solana’s most popular and fastest decentralized exchanges, JUPITER, announced they will be airdropping their new $JUP token to ~955K wallets that have used the exchange over the last 2 years.

Last but not least, the Solana Mobile team announced the creation of Wallet-Standard on iOS - a Safari extension wallet enabling self custody on iOS software.

The new wallet is open source and allows users to interact with decentralized applications directly on Safari - no need for an in-app browser.

The future of crypto and Web3 will be on mobile.
